Gelser pledges to support community colleges

Rita Cavin sees a lot of out-of-work men between the ages of 45 and 60 coming to Linn-Benton Community College in search of hope.

Cavin, the president of the community college, said she too often has too little to offer them. "They're in shock, and I don't know that we're giving them enough support," Cavin said.
